VITA
VITA is a soft, user-friendly productivity app that reimagines the digital calendar experience. Built around a playful seal mascot and four seasonal themes, VITA turns everyday scheduling into a calm, emotionally engaging activity. Rather than pushing efficiency through rigid structure, it encourages balance and mindfulness — helping users manage time without pressure.
Early Stage
Early development began with identifying user frustrations toward existing scheduling apps: lack of emotional connection, overwhelming layouts, and monotonous visuals. I explored ways to humanize the experience through simple illustrations, a friendly mascot, and theme-based interfaces. User journeys and sketches guided the app’s key features — voice note recording, scanning, and seasonal themes — ensuring that functionality remained approachable and intuitive.
Final Design
The final design showcases four seasonal themes—spring, summer, fall, and winter—each introducing distinct background illustrations and color palettes. The interface features playful interactions such as an animated seal that communicates reminders in speech bubbles, enhancing user engagement.
The settings menu allows users to toggle features like auto theme change, task color, and font size for accessibility.
Soft pastel tones, rounded typography, and calm animations together reflect the app’s core idea: organization can be gentle.
